Nissan's Z car is a legend amongst the sports car faithful the world over. With smooth and powerful engines, excellent handling characteristics, and understated good looks, the Z car, no matter the generation, is an excellent and fun car to drive. The 1972 model you see here is a gorgeous example of the first generation of the Z car. It is finished in a beautiful bright red color with a deep gloss, and overall fit and panel gaps are excellent. The factory polished aluminum wheels add even more appeal to the sleek exterior. On the inside you will find black vinyl covered bucket seats, a beautiful wood rimmed steering wheel that feels like heaven in your hands, full instrumentation for all the important information, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo to keep the tunes going at all times. The interior is just as excellent as the exterior, with great fit and finish throughout. Under the hood is where the magic happens, and this 240Z has a trick or two up it's sleeve. Gone is the original 2.4L inline six, replaced with the 2.8L inline six from the later 280Z. This is a smooth running and powerful inline six cylinder. It utilizes a single turbocharger and Bosch L-Jetronic Fuel Injection to produce 180HP. While this doesn't sound like a lot, in a car this light and nimble it makes for a fun driving experience. The later five speed manual transmission allows you to keep the engine up on boost, and also allows for a nice relaxed freeway cruise RPM. The shifter moves with just a fingertip, and the clutch is light and easy to modulate. Suspension and steering are tight, and the overall feeling is that of a feather weight and playful car that just wants to put a smile on your face. This is a very unique driving experience, and after just a short stint behind the wheel you will quickly realize why these cars are so popular the world over! This is your opportunity to own a completely restored, documented, garage kept example of the very first generation Z car. Don't let this pass you by!! Stop in or email [email protected] today!!
